Tuesday, May 7, 2013: Blog Every Day in May Challenge

As I was blog hopping, I came across a challenge to blog every day in the month of May. Of course, anytime I come across a dare, challenge, or plea, I HAVE to participate. There is really no way to avoid them because then I feel guilty for the rest of the day, even though most are light-hearted fun.  One of my previous guest bloggers, Heart & Chances, linked up to this challenge. If you would like to sign up for this challenge, here is the original blogger's link.

Today's prompt is to write about my past and present pets.

So far during my 27 years of life my family has had some cool, weird, and awesome pets!   Here is a list of what we have owned during my lifetime so far:  rats, birds, hermit crabs, a tortoise, ferret, iguana, fish, a few beagles, a basset hound that only lasted a few weeks because my mom could not handle the drooling, and lots of weiner dogs.  At one point, we owned 13 pets at one time!  Guess we could have considered our house a zoo.

We only have one pet right now. Bella is a black dachshund that we have had since she was about 2 months old. She is now 5 years old.  I love the Wally comic strips because my dog totally relates to these shenanigans. Bella went through about 8 "Bobo's" (a stuffy that was also a dachshund) within the first year. She seriously would chew them up pulling out the cotton stuffing just like this comic shows. Bella has not had a "Bobo" since ;)

  4. I have never seen this comic before, but it looks entertaining! My beagle, Mouse, does the same thing to certain toys.
